So yesterday I turned 25, in New Orleans in the US and I, as always, celebrated by eating all day. Like, a LOT. I would quite literally choose death over the loss of my tastebuds. Dramatic? Maybe.
For a number of years now I have often toyed with the idea of writing down how I feel about food and turning it into an ode to the thing that makes me happiest, second only to my loved ones. And since I travel a lot, I have eaten all over the world. So anyway, my boyfriend and I, after our 4th oyster platter of the day, 3rd restaurant and 2 bottles of wine later, started having fun with this idea, of documenting what I could from the last year. A couple more glasses of wine and a to DIE for braised duck at Bayona later… and I woke up the next morning with a wordpress account and a big fat headache. And now, here we are. Still thinking about that duck though.
Welcome to this mashup of my current, past and future eating experiences. I hope I can share with you what I love most – food is better shared, right?
